Ghostwriting: How it Works

Writing a business book is one of the most valuable things you can do for your career.

That’s why we’ll follow a clear, structured process to move your ideas from vision to finished manuscript.

The Process

  • Discovery & Fit

Every great book starts with a great conversation. Before we commit to working together, we take the time to make sure the fit is right — for both of us.

    In discovery we explore:

    • Your idea, your goals, and who you're writing for

    • What success looks like for you — professionally and personally

    • How we'd work together, and whether our styles are aligned

There's no pitch and no pressure. Just an honest conversation about your book and whether I'm the right person to help you write it.

  • Build the Foundation

Through structured conversations or written questionnaires, I learn about your expertise and draw out your relevant stories, insights, and experiences. I ask the questions that surface the value you bring and capture your voice, style, and the way you think.

By the end of this phase we have:

    • A detailed voice guide that captures your voice, tone, and style

    • A full structural outline and chapter plan

    • A content strategy aligned to your goals and your audience

The foundation phase lays the groundwork to make your voice crystal clear and the drafting phase that follows as seamless as possible.

  • Chapter Drafting

Working from the foundation we built together, I draft your manuscript chapter by chapter — shaping your ideas, stories, and expertise into your book. Along the way, regular calls and structured feedback cycles keep the work aligned with your vision.

By the end of this phase you have:

    • Every chapter written and refined through collaborative feedback

    • A complete working manuscript drafted in your voice

    • A book that reflects your thinking, your authority, and your point of view

    • Guidance on next steps and the right publishing path for your book
